The HP Latex 820 Industrial Printer is a 126-inch (3.2 m) latex ink printer that delivers high productivity at a lower price than its sister product, the HP Scitex LX850 Industrial Printer, in a roll-to-roll configuration with an optional dual-roll kit upgrade. The printer also offers double-sided printing capabilities with minimal operator intervention for blockout banners and a built-in ink collector for direct-to-fabric printing on flag fabrics. Delivering high image quality with up to 1200 dpi resolution and an embedded spectrophotometer, the printer is designed to produce a wide variety of high-quality sign and display graphics, including event graphics, soft signage, vehicle graphics, POP displays, double-sided banners and outdoor signage.

The HP Latex 820 Industrial Printer works together with HP LX610 Latex Scitex Inks, which produce rich blacks and glossy results on banners and self-adhesive vinyl. HP LX610 Latex Scitex Inks also offer display permanence and scratch, smudge and water resistance comparable to low-solvent inks and improved water resistance on fabrics. Alternatively, customers can install HP 3M LX600 Specialty Latex Inks to offer graphics backed by the 3M MCS Warranty, one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry.

HP Latex Inks produce odourless prints, are nonflammable and noncombustible and, unlike many eco-solvent inks, they do not require hazard warning labels and contain no hazardous air pollutants. Additionally, no special ventilation equipment or external dryer is required for safe and productive operation, helping to keep energy costs down. The HP Latex 820 Industrial Printer offers print service providers an affordable and productive entry point into the HP Latex Ink portfolio, delivering the benefits of roll-to-roll and optional dual-roll handling as well as speeds up to 1,905 ft2/hr. The printer allows print service providers to expand the range of high-end applications they can produce with double-sided printing capabilities with minimal operator intervention for blockout banners. The HP Latex 820 Industrial Printer also works with Latex Scitex Inks, which deliver richer blacks and glossier results on banners and self-adhesive vinyl, taking latex quality to the next level. These new latex inks also offer display permanence and scratch, smudge and water resistance comparable to low-solvent inks and improved water resistance on fabrics, further expanding high-value soft signage application capabilities.
