One of the major advantages of the Stylus CX5900 is its ability to print at speeds of up to 27 pages per minute (ppm) in both monochrome and colour. This high speed print rate is the result of ongoing research and development efforts in key.
Epson DURABrite Ultra ink for brilliant colours and outstanding durability
Only Epson printers feature the incredible DURABrite™ Ultra ink – an ink that is the result of constant technology research and development efforts. At the very core – literally – of DURABrite Ultra is an advanced formulation technology that actually has each ink pigment particle encapsulated in a protective resin coating. The result is resistance to water, smudging and fading (due to airborne contaminants and light) on both photo and plain paper.
The fact, also, that DURABrite Ultra is a pigment ink technology means that with the Stylus CX5900, your prints will have exceptional levels of clarity and colour. When used with Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper, photographic prints are absolutely superb.

With individual Epson Intellidge ink cartridges, the Stylus CX5900 is ideal for users looking for a high quality lmultifunction printer with exceptionally high levels of ink utilisation. Each of the four (Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow) Intellidge ink cartridges contains sophisticated circuitry that maintains an accurate record of how much ink has been used and the amount remaining
Since each Intellidge ink cartridge tracks its own ink levels and maintains that information even when unplugged from the printer, it's the best possible system for using full cartridges for continuous large print jobs whilst partly used cartridges can be used for other smaller jobs — maximum ink usage, maximum benefits.
