High speed throughput in both monochrome and colour printing modes
Highlighting the incredible versatility of the Stylus Photo RX590 is the printer's high document print rate. Capable of printing at speeds of up to 30 pages per minute* (ppm) in black and colour, this high speed printer makes light work of virtually any print job.
Claria Photographic Ink
For well over a decade, Epson has been at the very forefront on developing dye–based inks that exhibit outstanding colour. The success achieved by Epson in this is evidenced in the vibrant and rich colours – especially in photographic printing – that can be achieved by means of the Epson range of dye–based ink printers for the home and work environments.
Claria Photographic Ink is Epson's Ultra High Definition dye ink designed especially for photo printing. Printed on Epson's range of photo papers, it delivers excellent high definition, colour reproduction, and glossiness, with a durability superior to that of silver halide or lab photos.
Sharp and Crisp Images
Adding further to inherent benefits of the Epson Claria Photographic ink is the almost total elimination of bleeding – an effect that often occurs in third–party dye–based inks, where they are so slow to dry that they create a feathering effect, which blurs the print. On the other hand, Epson's ink dries fast, so that the final print is incredibly sharp and crisp.
With a 100 per cent dye as its colourant, Epson dye–based ink fully utilises the highly reflective nature of dyes, resulting in a wide visible colour gamut for more accurate and vivid colour reproduction.
Economical Individual Intellidge ink cartridges
With individual Epson Intellidge ink cartridges, the Stylus Photo RX590 is ideal for users looking for a high quality printer with exceptionally high levels of ink utilisation. Each of the six cartridges contains sophisticated circuitry that maintains an accurate record of how much ink has been used and the amount remaining. Instead of running out of ink half–way through a print, the printer driver checks on the amount of ink in each cartridge then displays a warning if one or more cartridges are running low.
Since each Intellidge ink cartridge tracks its own ink levels and maintains that information even when unplugged from the printer, it's the best possible system for using full cartridges for continuous large print jobs whilst partly used cartridges can be used for other smaller jobs — maximum ink usage, maximum benefits. And because each cartridge is individual, you only replace what you use.
