The MFC-8440 offers you the versatility of faxing bound documents using the flatbed or multi-page documents via the 50 sheet Automatic Document Feeder. A modem speed of 33.6kbps means that faxes can be sent in as little as 2 seconds per page. For added convenience, 40 one-touch numbers can be dialled quickly and easily, as can a further 300 speed dial numbers. What's more, the combined 'out of paper' and 'fax transmission'memory facility stores up to 500 pages* whilst memory security ensures that your confidential documents stay that way.

With print speeds of up to 20 pages per minute and a resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dots per inch, you can be certain of both the quality and performance of this machine. Coping with office print demands is no problem, thanks to a generous 32MB of standard memory, which can be expanded to up to 160MB. Both PCL®6 and BR-Script 3 (PostScript® 3 language emulations) are installed, and confidentiality is assured with the Secure Print feature. Furthermore, with the choice of parallel, Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and optional network, connecting to the most popular PC operating systems presents no problem.
This MFC offers an uncompromised resolution quality of up to 9600 x 9600 dpi. Scans can be generated through the Automatic Document Feeder or flatbed and sent directly to OCR, E-mail, Image or File.
Besides these four main functions, this all-in-one machine offers the convenience of simultaneous operation. This allows you to use the scan function while a print-out is being generated or print a document whilst sending a fax.
Backlit keys for Fax, Copy and Scan enable instant access to each function.
The availability of both a flatbed and a 50 sheet Automatic Document Feeder provides flexibility when copying. You can produce up to 99 copies at one time and stack and sort functions present your documents without the need for rearranging. For added versatility, 2 in 1 and 4 in 1 scale functions, as well as poster printing, are available.
